I've read the Atkins book cover to cover and read through a lot of the forum posts on this website - I am now making this site my homepage so each time I log in, I'm reminded and inspired too keep going!

Thanks guys for all your support! It makes such a huge difference to my motivation to know that I'm going to write everything down in here!!! I've nearly finished day 2 of the new lc program and the biggest thing that's stopped me from grabbing that freddo frog on the way out of the supermarket (i'm a sales rep so spend all day going in and out of supermarkets) is knowing that I'd be too embarrassed to come back here next week and say that I haven't lost any weight!!
I think if I can get through this week, the rest will be a breeze!
Thanks again for your comments and support!

TTIKIFR

Only three squares of choccy!!!! I swear! (not three bars for those questioning!) won't be doing that again in a hurry let me tell u!
Sherrie

Only 3 squares, definately does'nt agree with you.
One or two squares is enough to make me very flatulent, such a shame as I really got to like the taste of that chocolate.

I can only eat one square of the darrel lea, after two the tummy starts rumbling....
I can eat a bit more of the cadbury lite, probably two rows....I haven't had any for a while though, but I did buy a 46g bar of the belgium sugar free choccy last weekend that I shared with hubby. I had no after effects at all from them...;)

Ahhh day 5 and I've been in ketosis now for 3 days (YAY) I've resolved not to weigh myself until Sunday which will be my one week mark but my clothes are already starting to feel a little loose! ( maybe optimism on my part but it's working anyway) I've overcome my biggest weekly hurdle which is the dreaded motel stay. Every Wednesday night I have to stay in a motel for work and there's all that yummy food to choose from for dinner plus the lure of the mini bar but I was SO good! I had a plain steak and salad for dinner and eggs and bacon for brekky and didn't even look at that mini bar let alone touch it. Oh, I'm so proud of me! (someone has to be) Anyway, have just gotten home from the 2 day trip and am still in ketosis so I'm a happy camper.

oooooh you are a naughty girl!! it was a saying that a friend of mine (who passed away a few years ago) used to say all the time, we used to rally drive and he'd be driving around like a maniac shouting it...quite funny really. it was the way he lived, so it reminds me to do the same...life's too short and all that. :)

Wow, have I ever neglected my poor diary this week! It's been an absolutely crazy week work-wise. Have spent the whole week doing pre-orders for Christmas which just freaks me out because it feels like I just got over last Christmas!!!
I swear, it is just impossible to enjoy this time of year when you work in retail :( which I have done for the last 7 years. Oh well, keeping busy means burning more fat I guess so I should be a rake by New Years!
However, I have been good food-wise. In the past I've always found it difficult to stick to my diet particularly during the day as I'm on the road all day with work and in and out of supermarkets all day - it's so easy to grab a quick snack or soft-drink. However, I've been loading my car up with water bottles and, as I don't have time to prepare lunch in the mornings (head to the gym at 6 and then straight to work after that.........grab any extra minutes of sleep i can!) I am so completely over the moon with the new McDonalds Salad Plus range! The only thing I get from there is the garden salad but it's always nice and fresh, has only 2.3g carbs and I take a tin of tuna with me to mix in with it. Ahhhhhh so easy!
It's the wrong time of month for me this week so I haven't actually registered a weight loss for the week (stayed the same, though) so I will post my new stats next week when this lovely fluid and bloating leaves my body. Oh the joys of being a woman!

How did you go?
TTIKIFR

What's the saying..........the greatest plans of mice and men.. something something something. It's been a pretty bad month and the whole diet thing has had to take a backseat unfortunately. My grandfather passed away after a month of 'hanging on' that involved several late night phone calls to 'get to the hospital now - he's about to go'. That took it's toll on my body and my emotions and I got pretty sick with the flu. Was advised by my doctor to eat what I felt like as this was probably what my body was requiring to fight the flu and get better so I took his advise and went off the lo-carb until i got better.
Am now fully recovered and have started again today.
The good news is that I still lost weight........probably thru stress and being sick but am now down to 73kg so have lost 4kg overall so far and, from my original weight before I started various diets, I have lost 11kg. Happy about that - but still want to lose another 9.
Will keep posting as I get back into the swing of things!!!!
Thanks for the support and reminder!!
