In my opinion, everyone should ditch the marg.
I can't believe I grew up in the period, where saturated fats were shunned, and we were all fed margarine.

Yeah and the big clear plastic bottle of <insert crap vegetable or manmade oil here> sitting on the bench in full sunlight for months and months!
Although I remember my mum doing roasts with lard and keeping the drippings for the next time with is probably better then the vege oil

People still do that. I would say 99.9% of the planet still do that.
No one is educated about oils and stuff.
P.S. Is it alright to leave my organic cocnonut oil on the shelf? It's solid at room temp.

Yep your coconut oil will be fine, I just leave mine in the pantry.
Just remember when buying it, it is more important to get virgin coconut oil rather then organic. For example Melrose sell organic coconut oil but it is 'refined' rather then virgin.
