How come I see that low carbers are sometimes having Red Rooster chicken? is that allowed on low carb? isn't it marinated or something? and if it is allowed how come it's the only one I see mentioned when it's the only one I don't like...LOL

I don't think so mind you in my early days I used to get away with a KFC twister and remain in ketosis but it is definately not allowed on low carb and I wouldn't call any of these places healthy.

I recently tried oporto for the first time, gee thats nice chicken but I bet it has sugar added, I might check.

well that link was interesting! Just as well I don't like Red Rooster! the only part of KFC I liked was the twisters - just as well hubby doesn't like any other take away other than plain old fish and chips.
I'd never have a KFC nugget or any other after watching Jamie Oliver show kids what was in them.
Oh that reminds me, my niece in law just lost 30kgs, she said she just cooked Jamie Oliver recipes and went to the gym...does he do low carb recipes or something??
Oporto is advertised here as being marinated so I bet it has sugar too.

Janine if I thought that it was possible for me to lose 30kg from simply eating all Jamie Oliver Meals then this would be a Jamie Oliver site LOL

I love Jamie Oliver!!! (his food that is) heck so does Garry and whilst I do make some of his recipes, if all our meals were from his books I may be happy and satisfied after a really good meal but I would be getting fatter and fatter LOL

Mind you his food is very fresh, no processed crap in his books but it can still make you fat and Jamie Oliver loves his pasta!
