Hey I just made this page for the newbies so thought I'd pop the link here for any newbies lurking around the forum.

I am still working on it so it may change a tad over the next few days. Feel free to offer any feedback/suggestions for it here :)

A rundown on Atkins induction (http://www.apinchofhealth.com/resources/lowcarb/atkins-induction.html)

If you have any technical problems with the page (ie not working in your browser) let me know here (http://www.apinchofhealth.com/forum/vbb/showthread.php?p=119524).

great stuff Sherrie! that will be a godsend for newbies! one question though re herbs, I see cinnamon isn't listed yet there's a recipe for Induction Allowed Cookie made with flax meal and cinnamon????? is it then really allowed on induction? I have it for breakfast sometimes.

Janine, cinnamon is very good for your blood sugar I can't see any reason it should not be allowed, just go by its carb value. Heck he has some moderate carb vegies that are allowed in small portions (pumpkin).

According to nutrition data (http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts-C00001-01c202u.html) 1 teaspoon of cinnamon has 2g of carbs but 1 g is fibre so I would just count it as 1g carb per teaspoon.

Awesome Sherrie!

Personally I wouldn't advise recipies as such for induction.

I would recommend trying to stick to Meat and veggies on the list, and water.

It just makes it simple for me.
