Oh no one here!! I guess everyone was smart enough to get out of there cough cough! Sorry, couldn't resist. I spent 25 years growing up in Canberra but now live in Newcastle, but I go back there regularly as all my family are there. Just thought I'd put my 2 bobs worth in here.

Hi Scrappy cat, no your not the only smart Canberran, I live on the Southside in Tuggers (the best side of course) also used to live in Belco years ago.
Anyway good luck with your dieting :)

I am an ex-Canberra girl. Wind up back there about once a month. Mum is in Belconnen (Florey) and sister in Queanbeyan.

I live on the southside and am quite new to Canberra. I must say it is VERY cold (I am a Qld'er) and rather circley!

Yes - this one! I found it quite mild as believe it or not but queensland does get for for about 4 weeks of the year (yep.... only 4 weeks but its FREEZING!). I have found it really hard because the winter here seems to just drag on. Its only started getting warm again now and its November! In Qld its warm again by September.

I love winter! I don't find it very cold here at all anymore, but I spent three years in poland where I think cold was invented.

I grew up in aranda - now live in the inner-south. spent ten years (over the space of thirteen years) o/s, but have never lived anywhere else in australia.

loved the 'circley' description!
