After yonks I am just getting back into Atkins after being on another low carb program and would like to ask on Atkins does it matter how purple the ketosis stick test is, on the other program they said it should go no further than the second pink (1.5) or you dont lose weight, I believed that the darker it goes the more weight you'd lose.
Can anyone enlighten me please?

ALSO Sherrie when reading through "somehere" in this forum you mentioned that you processed almonds for almond meal as this worked out so much cheaper, now I can't find it again, I don't think I was dreaming, if this is correct, do you use blanched almonds or does the brown coiating asdd flavour?

Any help would be much appreciated

Hey Annette :)

The shade of pink/purple shouldn't matter, all it is measuring is excess ketones, I was always dark purple and some weeks I lost weight whilst other weeks I didn't.

Yes, I never buy nut meals now unless I need to, I just by whole raw almonds etc and chuck them in the food processor "as is" when needed.

Thanks Sherrie, I am slowly getting my way back into it, most of the things I remember seem toi be correct, the UL program seems to have changed a lot of things trying to be up market fat free I think, although it professes to be LC. I followed your advice and got myself a new Atkins book from Target so I can start reading up again.
