My skin is suddenly gorgeous

Just wanted to let you know my latest motivation for sticking with this diet - my skin. I have only been on LC for a week and my skin has totally cleared up not a blemish in site. Since having my son 14 months ago I had developed really bad skin almost like acne partcularly around jaw line and a little on shoulders even some spots on botton (nice hey). Despite trying to have a good diet -I was doing weight watchers all low fat and high carbs- I just couldnt control it. A week on LC and my skin looks amazing - not one blemish even my husband thinks its amazing. If nothing else happens and the weight doesnt budge (though I lost 1.9 kg this week yayayayay) Im sticking with this for the skin benefits !!!!!!! Just reread that post sounds like an infomercial but it really is a big change !!:o

Bexsi that side effect of Atkins is EXTREMELY common. I actually found I had the opposite problem but I think that had a lot to do with my birth control pill and how my livers metabolism had changed, I found Atkins and my pill did not get along at all.

I did break out initally but i think my body was detoxing, but i have to agree my skin does seem to have improved. I am liking my hair as well at the moment.

I usually have a few break outs for the couple of weeks but then its all good after that! Stronger nails would be nice :)

I can't really notice any changes to my skin, I live in an extremely dry area though and I got rid of acrylic nails a month ago so my nails are still weak but I'll keep an eye out

I'm also on the implanon so maybe something to do with that too

Spa - nice !!!!!! Me and hubbie are thinking of going away for a night when his mum comes to visit and I said I dont care where as long as it has a spa !!!!. No kids and a spa mmmmmmmmmm heaven. This may sound really bad so apologise if anyone thinks im totally disgusting but Im overweight for a reason. Anyway last time we went away I was 6 months pregnant and I sat in the spa eating dougnuts from a van across the road from hotel, they were sooooooooo nice. Next time im in a spa I will be looking super sexy no dougnuts needed :D. If you think you will get any spare time in the gong let me know and we can get a coffee and I can see how fantastic you look :D

I have been in a spa once and it made me sooo dizzy I had to get out!

I had a spa once in Glenelg the hotel on the beach, the grand?

had champagne in the spa and that night apparently I slept walked and went out on the balcony on the 7th floor starkers and sat out there!! Hubby never thought to stop me, just wondered what the heck I was doing!!!!!!

We have a outdoor spa at home and its great!! But not good if you drink alcohol as it makes you get drunk quicker:)

Hi Bexsi,

I am glad I read this thread because I thought I was imagining that my skin was looking nicer, and my nails were actually stronger I have never had good nails. I have been on LC for 10 days now and really do feel so much better, I thought I was going to die on the 4th. and 5th. day but I got through it, and have to admit the bread addiction is becoming dimmer by the day.
