It could just be your homones going a bit wonky from the change, it can happen in any dieting but low carb can have an effect on hormones, usually in a positive way in regards to PMS etc although I found it wasn't compatible with the Diane (prog only pill).

Having said that when you diet things can be out of wack in the first few months due to the hormones being released from your fat cells as you lose weight but it then settles.

Happened to me too. Now TOM has been missing in action since mid September. Yay! Maybe I am just gearing up for menopause?

Kezzah are you on any contraceptives? calorie restriction can give you Amenorrhoea (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amenorrhoea)

Funny that you should mention that you noticed a change in your period cycle when you went low carb. So did I and I am on the edge of menopause. I hadn't had much of one from one six months to the next when I had a full on one just into a few weeks of going low carb. I was amazed and it took me awhile to put the two together.
There must be an obvious connection between our hormones and our diet, though who would have thought!
