Made the meatballs the night before last for dinner....yummo.
My son skoffed the rest of the recipe with a dash or two of tomato sauce....he's a medium carb consumer.
This recipe is a stayer for my menu plans.
Sandy
Glad you liked them- I took a plate to a party on the weekend and they went before the little boys and sausage rolls!
Hi Jess, Your meatballs sound delicious my only regret is that I didn't see your recipe for the weekend but have it for next time!!!!

Hi Jess,
Made these last night - yummo. The two of us ate all of them straight up!
I added the chilli and sesame seeds but also added a dash of Chinese 5 spice which really gave them an exotic flavour!
Thanks for posting it, I love super easy recipes.
Sanuk
No worries sanuk.
Here's another tip- Freeze and pop in your lunch box they're defrosted by lunch and they keep your salad cool :)

Wow, thanks Jess. I already have several kilos of chicken breasts in my freezer (thank you Rossana) and now I will shortly have a couple of bundles of meatballs. Ahhhhh variety. And great for the boy as well. He likes to/ has to fend for himself occasionally but there are two appliances he can drive well....the freezer and the microwave.
lol! Mine just learnt how to use the oven and put some drumsticks on to bake. I'm so very proud :D
Here's another Idea:
Teriyaki Hanburgers on the BBQ
I'm trying them this weekend- let you know how they go

This is probably a dumb question but as I am so new to LC I was wondering why there is crushed Splenda included?
I am very suspect on all artificial sweeteners including sucralose (which I believe is what Splenda is) - let's not mention the big nasty aspartame. So I have been kind of avoiding anything that requires them..... probably missing out on a bit but is there something here I don't know. I read somewhere that sucralose is just as bad as aspartame - if I am wrong feel free to correct..... pls?
Cheers!

Newlife personally I have yet to see anything that shows it as anything more then something that some people may be intolerant too like with everything else. Yes, there has apparently been people whom have had allergy type reactions but people can die just from eating an egg, does that make eggs bad?
The reason for the concern is due to the chlorine molecule but I hazard a guess to say our foods are full of chlorine too, let alone our water especially when having a shower and breathing in the chlorine vapour from the steam which is much more of a problem.
Anyway some of us have chosen it as our lesser evil. Personally I have tried stevia (natural sweetener) and it gives me nausea, only other alternatives are sugar alcohols but they are expensive with the better one (erythritol being hard to find) and can cause tolerance issues on their own.
I took splenda out of my diet for 4 years when I fell pregnant to Maya and never felt any better for taking it out.
I think its really a YMMV thing.

these sound great- thanks for all the recipes everyone
I have the splenda sachets, does anyone know what the equivalent is to the 2 splenda tablets?

Each sachet = 2 teaspoons
Thanks Sherrie, but how many sachets = 2 splenda tablets? Is it 1 sachet per 2 splenda tabs?
