Ok, about a month ago, I was doing quite well on the old low carb path for a couple of weeks, but didn't notice that the sometimes excrutiating pain in my arms had lessoned, to not being there unless I did something stupid like bump my arm or reach for something. Until I fell off the wagon and binged on sugar, and wham bam thank you maam, pain.
This week while in hospital for my gall bladder operation, I was on an insulin/glucose drip to control my sugar levels. (they actually had them set quite high so my sugar levels were always between 9 and 11, I dont know why) but the pain had gone away. I get home, binge on carbs, ok I did have 2 days of throwing up and was trying to eat very plainly, but today I've been pigging out on the carbs and wham, this afternoon, pain.
I guess I know what I have to do now. I wonder how long it it going to take for this to stick. Is my intolerance for pain greater than my addiction to sugar?
