    Low Carb Diet Support Forum!

A Pinch of Health is not just a low carb diet and weight-loss web site but a growing Australian based low carb community that has been around since 2002, jam packed full of tips, low carb recipes, diet information, resources and support.

If you're interested in your health, on one of the many low carbohydrate diets be it for diabetes 2, weight loss or other health reasons such as a gluten-free diet, looking for a delicious low carb recipe, or just need a friendly chat with fellow Aussie's with similar interests, then you are in the right place!

Basically, we are an independent community whom like to think outside of the square, with a main emphasis on low carbohydrate diets, weight-loss and health. We like to share and learn from each others experiences and hopefully lose some weight and improve our fitness and health in the process. This forum is independent, free and not reliant on selling/pushing a product and thus not bias and trying to sell you something. We have members following various diets be it Atkins, Bodytrim, LCHF, Paleo and various others and thus, you will find an assortment of information based on members experiences during their journey. If you're still deciding on which diet to follow check out this page: low carb diets

Make sure to visit and introduce yourself on our support forums as you will find the majority of information and recipes are there though, I do plan on moving some recipes that have photos here as I get time: low carb recipes. If you're interested in the science behind low carbohydrate diets, then feel free to have a read of our low carb research page which will be updated extensively soon.

This forum does not encourage very low calorie dieting and going to extremes to lose weight. If you're interested in some of the downsides to dieting, then you may be interested in our research page on very low calorie dieting. An important thing to remember, is to try to keep above your basal metabolic rate, you can read about that here: BMR and Calories. We also have a page on weight loss tools that may help you along your journey amongst various other articles - from the benefits of saturated fats, to articles for beginners or links to other websites that you may be interested in.

We hope you enjoy your stay and if you like our low carb web site and forum, please share with others and spread the love and help our community grow!

I made this salad up the other week when I had my week of peace and quiet and forgot all about it until now, when downloading pictures from my camera. There's no real ingredient amounts, it's really up to you and you can change or add ingredients very easily.

Another week, another humiliating blow for the healthy eating lobby. Yet again, their advice on nutrition, delivered in those familiar authoritative, disapproving tones, has proved to be completely misleading.

For years, these self-styled experts ...

Garry made this the other week, it is another fish pie recipe from Jamie Oliver from his Ministry of Food cookbook. I think some added boiled eggs would be good too if desired.

I made a nice and simple quiche last night, it was good, even my son liked it. It didn't set quite firmly enough though was cooked through fine. Silly me forgot all about squeezing liquid out of spinach and just mixed it straight in after steaming so that could be why. I am thinking I might try gorgonzola ...

I made this last night, I got the idea from an old Goodtaste Mag but I left out the pastry!

Took me a couple of mouthfuls to adjust (never had Brie before) but after that it was good though I still might experiment a little more. I had to make something else for Ryan though, he was not ...
