    Re: Body for life book

Has anyone heard of this before? I have bought a copy recently but the book suggests 1/2 carbs and half protien? with workouts everyday bar sunday and a PIG OUT day once a week?

I am so not sure, I have seen FATLOCITY mentioned here too! What is it does anyone do it? Where can I find out more info and can a real fatty like me do it ? cheers faithybaby

Body for Life isn't a low carb diet it is just a general diet that focuses more on portion sizes then calories if I remember right.

He does have a bunch of exercises there that you can do with weights which you might find interesting.

His diet though, well unless the typical low fat works for you I wouldn't bother.

Fatlocity is a low carb personalised diet that was made by Rossana and Jesper (The owners of this site and the POH mixes).
Unfortunately she had to stop this as she was running out of time with everything else (making up personal diets and supporting them afterwards is very time consuming). I am not sure if she plans on resuming them or not.

Check out the Getting Started thread in the beginners section.

Low fat doesnt work becuase I seem to come undone and pig out once I start eating any carbs = so it looks like the book will make a great xmas pressie for someone else.

I tried to view the threads in the beginers about fatolcity but were unable to view anything, this is ok though I am going to continue with LC until I am near my goal weight, I think my body goes into revolt when I chop and change diets all the time, Cheers faith

Body For Life (like all diets, really) works for some people but not others. It is pretty strict and regimented, you have to be a pretty disciplined person to stick to it religiously.

My best friend lives by it, but she does 12 weeks, gets a result (not the startling ones in the photos), then falls off the wagon until she can't stand herself and starts all over again. She can maintain strict discipline for that 12 week period but not indefinitely.

I prefer an approach I can pretty much live by for good, and that ain't it!

Its not a ketogenic diet so you won't get some of the handy things that come with keto diets like reduced appetite and reduced water retention, but each to their own. It's about finding out what works best for you and your lifestyle.

Hi there Sanuk, I cant seem to stick to a regimented program so I dont think it will be for me, it is very strict and I hate feeling hungry and bloated. Cheers faithybaby
