If it is to be it is up to me
Well I have read a bit about it now, and it looks like another atkins diet. The first two weeks look very like induction and the adding back in are like maintenance and the next part of the atkins living low carb.
If anyone is on this diet, share your progress with us in a diary.
Any low carb way of eating is of interest, especially new recipes we can all share![]()
Here is another article about the south beach diet..

"a rose by any other name"
there is an article in this month's Good Medicine mag about this diet, i found it really interesting that it was stressed that this diet is NOT a low carb diet. hmm, it looks like one to me, especially the first two weeks as moonstruck mentions. the article didn't really explain ketosis well if at all (i was skimming) but i agree, if it gets low carb into focus, it can't be all bad.

HI
I just read Moonstruck's link. Looks very much like the Atkins diet the only difference is the play on words. They have picked all the things that the food police whinge about atkins ( which were mainly incorrect ) and made it sound as if you can have them on that diet. Like vegies and nuts etc. It all comes down to words.
