    a few questions

    Hey everyone

    1) Is there a protein or atkins shake that is suitable for induction? I don't know much about protein shakes so if anyone has any recommendations that would be helpful.

    2) Also on the atkins induction meal plan on the website it says you can make pancakes and waffles using soya flour, however from a search on here it sounds like I shouldn't be using that? Are there any alternatives?

    3) What is the PoH bake/muffin mix I've read about and is it allowed on Induction? (even if not, can someone please tell me about it for when I finsih induction :P)

    4) I found this in a search:
    Atkins Bake Mix

    1 cup soy flour
    2 cups soy protein isolate
    2 tbsp baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    2 tbsp Splenda

Would people recommend using this recipe?

Sorry for all the questions, trying to wrap my head around all the new information and foods/recipes

    thanks for any help

    Kara

    Re: a few questions

    Hey Kara

Yes protein shakes are fine, some can contain aspartame (951) which is an artificial sweetener that is not allowed in Atkins.

Personally I would avoid all unfermented soy products like the plague: Dangers of Soy

The POH muffin mix is not available anymore and yes it was induction friendly, it basically contained ground flax seeds (linseeds), psyllium husks, dessicated coconut and whey protein isolate, you can read a little about it here but keep in mind nut meals are not until after induction: low carb muffins

We have some pancake recipes here: low carb pancakes

But also it seems you can make pancakes and waffles with oopsie rolls: low carb bread: oopsie rolls

Firstly no I wouldn't recommend that recipe (bake mix recipe) because of the soy, but also I reckon that would taste like poo!

In regards to the bake mix, you might find some ideas in these threads:
