They do however like a mixture of sugar & borax & water, apparently it's to die for.![]()
Does this only work if your ants are sort of half arsed low carbers?Mix a half teaspoon each of honey, borox, and aspartame (Equal, Nutrasweet, etc.), in small bottles ...![]()

as wel as the ants ? Oh better give it a try they are tiny pesky ones and I have done everything I can think of - I hate to have to call the pest man as they use such horrid chemicals

Having the veggie garden out the front and just realised we have a huge ant problem out there so started googling and found this idea:
I was thinking psyllium husks would be perfect for this!3. If you need to use something that is completely non-toxic, you can try cornmeal. The ants will eat it, but their bodies are unable to properly digest it. Consequently, the cornmeal clogs up their systems and the ants eventually suffocate. Another variation on this trick is to use foods that readily expand when exposed to liquids, such as grits or oatmeal. When the ants eat these kinds of foods, the portions that are consumed will expand as they soak up the fluids from the ants’ bodies. Soon afterward, the ants die from a combination of fluid loss and severe internal pressure.
