Thumbs up Natural Insect Pest Control

Found ants in the house today and thought this page was useful. I tell ya they definitely don't like cinnamon.

They do however like a mixture of sugar & borax & water, apparently it's to die for.

Mix a half teaspoon each of honey, borox, and aspartame (Equal, Nutrasweet, etc.), in small bottles ...
Does this only work if your ants are sort of half arsed low carbers?

Squish. That's the only thing so far that's worked here. But apparently they like borax.

    Re: Natural Insect Pest Control

Having the veggie garden out the front and just realised we have a huge ant problem out there so started googling and found this idea:

    3. If you need to use something that is completely non-toxic, you can try cornmeal. The ants will eat it, but their bodies are unable to properly digest it. Consequently, the cornmeal clogs up their systems and the ants eventually suffocate. Another variation on this trick is to use foods that readily expand when exposed to liquids, such as grits or oatmeal. When the ants eat these kinds of foods, the portions that are consumed will expand as they soak up the fluids from the ants’ bodies. Soon afterward, the ants die from a combination of fluid loss and severe internal pressure.
I was thinking psyllium husks would be perfect for this!

    Hi Everyone

Has anyone got any ideas for flea treatments? We seem to have an infestation. We have done some flea bombs but a few weeks later and we have them back. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
