Okay, a few times recently I've made muffins. Just regular blueberry muffins, not low carb really. But they ALWAYS stick to the paper, and I'm wondering...did I just get a crap brand of them, or is there some trick I don't know about? Help!

Never used the patty cases or at least I don't recall doing so, maybe try greasing them a little first?
I have some of those silicon patties but haven't used them yet.

Yeah I've thought about those silicon ones but I had limited funds when I was shopping for them so I got the paper ones. Probably time to upgrade![]()

Woolies usually have their silicon stuff on special quite often.

Mel theres a silicon baking set at target atm for $26, has muffin tray, little love heart cake mould, 2 spatulas and oven mits, all silicon.
And the sale probably ends Wednesday and we get paid Thursday! Why can't they do Monday-Sunday sales like the supermarkets do?
Ah well I remember some at Big W, I'll check again & see what they were.

Mel K-Mart have 30% off lol, muffin tray was $10.99 before discount.
So these silicon things are ok in a gas oven?
Yep they are great. I was a bit dubious at first but my daughter said she had been using them for awhile, and they were wonderful...

yes yes yes i have thrown out all my old cake tins (which i spent a fortune on and they all rusted) and now only have silicone. you can get them on ebay quite cheap and sometimes at op shops i bought a round 20cm cake tin the other day for a $1,. Yeah tip i bought those patty type cases ones, and they seem to get lost in my house, so i opted to go for a muffin tray has 12, i make 12 muffins or cheesecakes and freeze , couldnt do with out them now.
Ah yes, I probably should update. I bought 2 sets of 6 silicone muffin cups and love 'em.![]()
