    Question Ketosis and Hives

Well I have been banging my head trying to find the source of my rash to no avail. After thinking I finally figured it out it is back again but this time it has developed extremely quick. We have both gastro and what I suspect is the flu running through our house so naturally I went through a few days of barely eating which coincidentally was when this rash appeared. I had this problem the first time I low carbed as well.

Anyway just googled ketosis and rash and already found people with same problem. Could it be possible?

This is a rare rash (mostly in Japanese people) that has been associated with ketosis: http://www.jle.com/en/revues/medecin.../62/article.md

Does it go away gradually or is it there throughout the duration of ketosis?

My partner was given Telfast for his persistent cough...it did nothing either. You might as well take a placebo.

Hope it clears away for you soon.

Thanks Mel, it keeps spreading to more places, haven't noticed anything new today so hey maybe it helped with that?

I have one too! Except mine isn't a rash, it's just a red discoloration on my stomach that I've had for about 3 days, and it isn't spreading or looking any worse, but it looks strange.
    Very confused :S

I read somewhere that drinking 1-2 teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in water can help? I'm not sure how reliable that is, but I've used ACV for other things before and it's great.

Give it a try. I never did figure mine out, I get it if I get a fever as well. Perhaps something being detoxed through my sweat.
