    soz to bother yall again...

I just read through the BT recipe thread lol.. sooo many good ones i really want to try the chicken lasagna and the fritatta they look so good!

I am a little confused though.. i thought the ideal behind BT was that u have a serve of protein and while in weight loss stage ur only meant to be having salads and veg with it .. isnt the concept is to avoid sugar and carbs ? or am i getting my wires crossed somewhere can someone care to give me a recap maybe..

So i question some of the recipes, example some have tomato paste in them.. that would be fine if it was home made but i dont think it is home made in the recipe.. so wouldnt that contain carbs and sugar?

oh and PS.. did i see someone say they tried making a spaghetti alternative/substitute ? i read it somewhere a while back but cant find it now .. any one know??

Yes, I do a brilliant spaghetti substitute. I have a spiralizer (which costs about $30 ).I bought mine from robins and you can also get them from Amazon . And i do zuichini noodles. You can have them raw if you , like in Summer when you are feeling more like salads or you can heat them in the microwave and have them hot under a bolognaise or anything. They work a treat. you can also spirilise cuecumber which give a more delicate noodle or beetroot and carrot. You can also do something similar in a food processer if you have one.
I also shread cabbage instead of pasta under bolognaise...I did this for my husband and myself and my kids felt they were missing out because they had pasta. So now my whole family is happy to have shredded cabbage with there bolognaise.
ps making vegetables into noodles is an easy way to get the kids to eat happily eat their veges

I'm not particularily being 100% strict on the BT the last 2 weeks as its school hols and we've been out alot and sometimes i just cant find a place that will serve up something that i should have.. small bending of the rules like today i had "advacado" in my chicken "wrap" 2 things i normally would not eat if i were at home (only coz im tryin to stick to the rules)

any suggestions ? low carbers what do u do have for a treat?
Hi, I find myself having more shakes then tunas and eggs when i feel like something sweet. You can also tuck into those sugar free jellies which do the trick for me . But you can get your hands on SUGAR FREE lollies (I know one brand is the double D ) I buy mine from woolworths or coles
They are so good and allowed but not something you want to be eating alot of all the time. Or you could hunt down some differant sweet recipies for protien cookies - always nice with a coffee.
But the real answer is will power good luck.

Ps In Bt you can have a coke zero or sugar free soft drink. That would be a better alterative then having cake or something

Hi I've been doing .bt now for nearly 2 weeks. I was wondering what you guys do if you slip up for one meal on one day, do you have to have a protein only day or just continue on? Also do you guys have any suggestions on how to resist follies and things at the movies or similar outings? Possibly just take a few sugar free follies? Thanks

    Hi Bodytrim girl,
I normally just continue on as normal if i mess up.Just jump straight on that wagon, as they say. Don`t be too hard on yourself.Concentrate on the decisions you are making now, not on the ones you have made in the past. As far as the movies go, i think you have to be prepared and take your own BT complient snacks , then the temptation is not as high.
    good luck, Amanda

Red face Re: Bodytrim Diet 2

hi guys!!!! I am new to BT, just going off your thread - dont have the books- I am on day 3 of detox, looking forward to some veggies tomorrow! I haven't weighed myself, (keep forgetting to buy batteries for the scales) I want to loose roughly 10-12 kgs. I think I am around 69 kgs but i am quite short too...
Just wondering - what is the BEST protein bar that is easy to make, ok to eat regularly on stage 2 and last the longest. looking to stop at woolies on way home to get ingredients.

also what does everyone take to work as an easy easy lunch Thanks Guys! cant wait to see how this goes!

    Hey Kelcop,
Welcome. I have about the same amount of weight to lose as you. Maybe we can buddy up and encourage each other. I have never made a protien bar , i normally have the BT ones which are really yummy and a really good price when you can get them on special. Lunch : I am working on chicken or tuna and salads at the moment. You can never have too much salad.
Amanda. Ps making protien cookies is a good alternative to bars as well.
    Goodluck

Thanks Toot ! I really don't seem to be struggling much at all in regards to the sweet cravings anyway! And if temptation strikes the one thing that gets ne through is
Knowing that if I still want it later I can simply have other on my free day just out of curiosity, what does everyone love to have on their free days?

You get the BT bars from the Body Trim website. They also do nice cookies for a treat and i would recomend there shakes. I have made protien cookies before but was a while ago i cant remember the recipe.I think i found it in here somewhere in a recipe section. I think there is also a good recipe in the Body trim book if or when you get it. Actually you can also buy the bars in some health food shops... google it?

Maybe we should look at putting a ticker up so we can see where each other is at?

    Morning,
If you have done your 3day detox, you can eat as much salads and veges with your meals as you want. The more the better, and you can also have a serving of fruit with breakfast as your carb.Berries are really cheap in Qld at presant so i am eyeing off the strawberrys. Have fun on your free day - no guilt, just follow it up with a protien only day and then back to normal until your next free day. Protien is great for the weight loss, but you will still need fruit , salads and veges to keep you healthy.
    Amanda
