Spaghetti Squash
I just wanted to share that Garry made a green curry tonight and I had mine with spaghetti squash. This was REALLY good, I think I will always have this with curries also now, at least until this years supply runs out!
I encourage everyone to grow some this spring/summer!

Re: Spaghetti Squash
I bought some seeds a while ago but never got around to planting them. But we are moving house soon so I will definitely plant them this summer! Can't wait to try heaps of new recipes that call for spaghetti squash.

Re: Spaghetti Squash
They grow really well, love compost. Keep powdery mildew in check though, I might've got another month or so out of them if it wasn't for the powdery mildew. You don't need to wait for the vines to die off before picking them so they just keep producing all summer.

Re: Spaghetti Squash
Oh and PS: What I do is place the whole squash on a baking tray, prick it all over with a fork or skewer then bake in the oven at 180 for an hour or so. After that I take it out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes then cut in half, scoop out seeds and then tease the flesh out with a fork. Comes out like spaghetti strands. Whatever I don't use, I put in a bowl then chuck in fridge for next time in which I just pan fry in butter to heat through
