    Thumbs up Perth Newbie

    hey there,

newbie here from perth WA, I've been reading the online forums for some recipe ideas and I found having somewhere to chat with people that have the same goals is a great motivational key..

I am starting the BT system by myself, ive been doing research on it and so today is my first day on the 3 day carb detox - which i will find out how to start my own diary on here to keep track of my progress ..

The reason for making this change in my eating habits is to me it makes sense and i find meat, veg and salad is fantastic foods to encourage my children to eat also. ( i tested this theory and served the girls grilled chicken, green beans & broccoli.. i let them have tomato sauce/ sour cream with it and they ate the whole lot!)

I have 3 kids, the latest & last is only 7 months old & my girls are of school age so between them i do alot of running around

I'm easy going, loving, caring and I cherrish my friends and family.. I dont drink often and I dont do the party scene often either (usualy only birthdays)

I love music and dancing, reading, shopping & Ebay lol I'm also getting married (no date set yet) i have no idea about weddings (i cant even walk in heels) lol & we are looking at building our first home so theres lots going on right now to keep me upbeat

it would be nice to make some friends on here, so please dont be shy

So thats me in a nutshell

    Talk soon

Hi again I have just posted to you in your diary & I forgot to say the way you have your layout for your goals is a good idea. Good idea to do the BT system yourself all the information is here so that money you have saved can go towards new clothes or something else. If you love to chat this is the place to be there is always someone on line & Sherrie lives here.

    Haha Thankyou

I can not wait to see some results especially the ones when your pants fall down because you've lost weight haha there is nothing that could beat that feeling of finally going down as dress size and tbh i havent really done much clothes shopping since i had my baby - i find all the nice stuff is made from material that makes me have to go to a bigger size and it just depresses me!

I practically live in sports clothes these days, their comfy and all for when im running around like a mad hatter but sometimes i want to feel girly and pretty

So really.. a pending shopping trip is great motivation for me

There is nothing wrong with wearing sports clothes as long as they fit you correctly & are not skin tight etc. It is so easy to fall into the trap of not bothering about yourself when you are at home with young children so try to take the time & you will feel better. Sorry it is so easy for others like me to be here telling you what to do when my children have grown up & gone. Have a good day & keep chatting .

Perhaps you could use it as some motivations for small goals along the way, say every 5kg buy something nice and girly

    Hey Lil

I'm from Perth and also in the early stages of the BT program! I'm 35 and my husband and I have 2 children (both boys). We found carbs were running our kitchen and between us need to lose about 30kgs to be healthy and happy with ourselves. We're on day 3 of the detox and have so far shed 3kgs between us :-o We're 10% there!! Ha ha ha My husband had a killer headache all yesterday which I put down to his body going into Ketosis... He feels great today! I had a mild headache but I could also attribute that to caffeine withdrawal as I couldn't work out how coffee/milk fit into the detox phase so figured it best just to bite the bullet and go without.

Look forward to catching up with you in the forum and sharing the BT journey
