Newb from Vic :)
I came across this forum yesterday when googling BT to see what it was all about. Have read lots and have decided to give LC a go. Have never really strictly dieted but haven't been this overweight either.
My weight gain has come from being at uni at which time i moved out of my parents house (spending a LOT of time on my but in front of a computer and eating things that were more convenient than healthy) and not playing netball for 2 years which I had previously played every year since I was 7 (currently 24). It wasn't a fast gain, pretty gradual over about 3 years and I'm really hating it cos I don't fit into most of my wardrobe and I've become very unfit. I look back and I always thought I was a bigger girl but now some of the clothes i wore 3 years ago dont come close to meeting let alone being done up (obviously I wasn't as big as I thought!)
SO I have ordered the latest Atkins book to read and decide whether to follow it or perhaps design my own plan to fit my lifestyle more but keeping with the main principles of Atkins and what I have read of BT and hopefully I will start losing. Currently 87kg my end goal is 70kg and then will see if I need to lose anymore (according to one calculator my ideal weight is 57kg which seems really low)... I'm more about being healthy and fit again than looking like what society deems as the 'right size', just fitting to my old clothes will be fine!
A BIG thank you in advance for all the help and recipes I will use on this journey!
