Quote from donkeybrook: “ we get a lot of wa caught fish here and not too much imported stuff. mainly basa from vietnam which is awful anyway. the fish, not vietnam:D” I try and see where it is from before I buy it, thing is you don't know what your getting from restaurants or the local chippo either. I had some beautiful fish in Kalbarri and someone said it was basa which surprised me and I don't know if it is true as I heard basa was watery and this was very similar in texture as snapper.;)

Im not sure if this has been discussed here before but I would like to know what others think on seafood that has been imported from the likes of China, Vietnam, Africa etc? It seems quite difficult to buy Australian, last night while looking all but one product was foreign. I have heard they come from polluted waters and are fed antibiotics. For one who wants to eat more seafood what do we do, just go for it or should foreign stuff be avoided?

Yeah I fell off the wagon again too, Sam your not alone. I had a friend over from Sydney she is only here once a year so we went out a few times and had fun and yep ate "stuff". As for tasting the chemicals in food I could also notice that while sticking to THD, even though I have not got back in the swing yet I still believe I feel so much better eating THD way.
