Mozzarella Pancakes
Big bill - - Egg Recipes
PostThanks, my bad. For some unknown reason I thought they were pizza bases. So I guess they could be served with sugar free syrup and whipped cream and they'd be excellent.

Postwhat sort of iron? Large waffle iron? How about adding toppings and baking? Same as a regular pizza base? I have yet to make a keto pizza, it must be about time to start. These look and sound excellent.

Gearloose
PostHi Gearloose, I eat a lot of non-starchy vegetables and stay in ketosis. The thing is that once you are in ketosis, they taste a lot better and are more satisfying. Even half a kilo of Brussels sprouts, neat, is one of my favourite meals. I went cold turkey on all carbs this time around. Processed sugar is the most important to cut out due to its negative hormonal and metabolic effects. You are doing really well and I would love to see your recipes. Do you have cheat meals or days occasionally?

The IGA near where I work in the city has low-carb bread. It looks really good. Only problem is that it has wheat. I need low-carb gluten-free bread. It's great that low-carb seems to be fairly mainstream now, not so good that people don't seem to be joining this forum to find out more.

newbie
PostWelcome JanAnV, Psyllium husk pancakes with sugar free maple syrup are a good breakfast option, especially if you need a bit of extra fibre. There is a whole section for breakfast ideas: apinchofhealth.com/forum/index.php/Board/105-Breakfast/ When Sherrie drops by I have no doubt that she will give you a better steer in the right direction than I can.

I'm on board
PostI did the Carbohydrate Addicts Diet many years ago. It was a variation on the One-Meal-A-Day diet. But not keto. Still, I found it easy to follow and I lost about 20 kg in 5 months. I'm interested to hear how OMAD goes when combined with a strict keto approach.
