Hey Bron - long time no speak You have to keep the hotspot dry - I usually dab with some form of alcohol and then blow dry before applying plain white zinc cream or you can use Rectinol If she gets them all the time it's worth looking at the cause, one of my boys has a beef allergy and always breaks out in hotspots if I feed him beef.
I just mean because I think those 'fat burners' are a waste of money. If you are following a low carb diet you are already burning fat for fuel - it's not going to happen faster because of some supplement. Guess it depends on what you are taking though? I do take supplements - fish oil, a multi vitamin and I take glucosamine and chondroitin for my joints.
Wouldn't imagine that burning fat for fuel would be a bad thing. In fact it's the best way to lose weight, particularly if you are diabetic (I am) My concern would be taking those supplements in the first place.
Weight Watchers make a diet fruit and jelly cup which I find great for those sweet cravings - only 1 gram per cup, but I have always used diet jelly otherwise without any problems.
Maybe you should get a hold of a copy of DANDR (Atkins Diet) or find the info here. That is quite a lot of carbs to be eating - you are having a reasonablt high carb breakfast, lunch and snacks. You'd find your BSL will drop dramatically when you cut those carbs out
Lindylu you don't actually say what you are eating - are you following Low Carb? I'm type 2 also and have been LC for quite a while now. The only time my levels go high is if I have eaten something I shouldn't.
Wow that was an old thread - just looked at my last response. I ahven't been to Contours in over a year Still love the weights at the gym though and yes Fruittart, I agree those squats and deadlifts really do pump up the cardio too!!
Hey Jak, I do at least that amount of exercise. The only thing I do differently now is maybe have a little bit more carbs before a workout and I have a protein shake afterwards if I feel I need it. Muscle burns more calories than fat anyway so your body is burning more fuel 24/7
Can't speak for anybody else but I would use it. I count 20 carbs a day regardless of where they come from and stay in K. (Most of my carbs do come from vegies/salad)
