Hello,

My Name is Lisa Jean and I joined last week. I have been trying to think of what the heck to post here.

I am 43 and I care for my ailing mother. We have both had success on a low carb way of eating. Sadly life threw us a a few curve balls and one thing lead to another and we fell back on the junk and processed foods.

I look forward to meeting new people.

Sometimes I think I am the only one that doesn't like those. I make them for mom, but I just can't eat them.

Sherrie -that is my problem with them. It is like the mock danish. Mom swears they taste like the inisde of a cheese danish. To me they taste like overly sugared eggs.

Bianca- That is great that they work for you. I haven't found anything I really like yet. I just reminded my seof that I am over 15 pounds down so focus on that.

I'm lucky in that I e never been overly keen on breads so I can live with out them

I have the same issue as you with the mock Danish but for whatever reason I like the oopsie rolls especially if I bake them with ham and cheese sprinkled over the top

I honestly can say that if I hadn't joined here and had these gorgeous ladies advise, encouragement and help that I'd still be feeling yuk about myself and not enjoying life as you should be.
I wouldn't have stuck to this lifestyle change by my self.

I'm sure you've noticed already how great it is here

Hi Lisa - Congratulations 15 pounds down - why not start a diary so you can record your food or just your thoughts it is a nice way to chat & be motivated :thumbsup:

2kellen2 - Thanks! I may start a diary, sadly I have two journals they even cross post into each other and I slack on them as well.

Hi LisaJean the journals are a good idea but they cannot encourage or motivate you the way we can here in a diary - of course you need to call in regularly to see if a pat on the back is needed or a swift kick it's all up to you
