Hi,
Just introducing myself! My name is Sonya I live in Brisbane and I am about 8 kg above the weight I would like to be :thumbdown:

Therefore I have decided to follow a LCHF diet for a while and see how I go.

8 kg isn't much you should do well, you might want to start a diary to keep track.

8 kg is not to bad but I have just about tried everything!! So I am hoping this will go well. I'm actually looking forward to giving it a go!

Hello,
My name is Annamae and I live in NSW... Last October I was diagnosed with severe PCOS and fatty liver and am meant to be on a low carb diet to fix these probs! Problem is I keep cheating... I miss the bread and all the yum sweet things

so I'm starting AGAIN and am here for support...

Sometimes these things take a while before they stick, just keep going, try and stay on the wagon for a little longer each time and experimenting with recipes that help and ways to avoid or get around the things that slip you up.

I love bread, cakes, slices & all the sugar laden things & I didn't know how I could manage this way of eating - so I went cold turkey with bread & potatoes & I survived & feel great for doing that. I have mentioned tonight in my diary that I had coffee at a club today & have to stand at the desserts cabinet to check what I am not eating. I feel so well for giving bread & sugar away I'm not that interested anymore. Why not take it slow & gradually wean back on bread then every week eliminate something else - the slower you do that the better it might be for you - we all have to find what suits us - good luck keep telling us how you are going :applouse:

Hi Annamae,

Try switching to sourdough or another lower carb bread during the weaning off period. Even though it is still bread it is not as bad a white high carb high GI bread. Might help. Just remember to still cut back. You can do it! :cheer:
