I grew Styrian Hulless for the first time last summer. It is a pumpkin from Austria that is grown for its hulless pumpkin seeds. You're meant to scoop out the seeds and chuck the rest.
Anyway, I opened up one for the first time today and will soak the seeds in salted water overnight ready to dehydrate tomorrow.
Whilst scooping out the seeds the flesh reminded me of spaghetti squash so I decided to bake them face down in the oven and viola!
From now on I think I will just grow these instead of spaghetti squash. 2 for the price of 1. I found it very easy to grow in our weird weather. I didn't even get any japs and only a few small butternuts and Australian butter where as these grew fast, healthy and big!
