Hey I was searching a recipe on a board for candida and noticed a great tip on using flax meal as a binder for baking which I thought might be useful:
I'm glad you experimented with the flax gel. It's a great binder. In order to make a water extract, I usually add 3 tablespoons of whole (golden works better) flax seeds to about one cup of boiling, purified water and then simmer it on low until it has the consistency of egg white. At this point, I quickly strain it into small glass jar proportions (2/3 full) and freeze it. I then use it in some baking and pudding recipes.
