150g baby spinach leaves

preheat oven to 220..Melt half butter in a large ovenproof non stick frypan over medium heat. Add spinach,garlic,lemon and green onion..cokk for 2minutes or until the spinach is wiltered.
Place the spinach mixture in a bowl and set aside..
Wisk the egg whites to a firm peak..Stir the egg yolks, cheese and basil through the spinach mixture..Addthe beaten egg white and gently fold through the spinach until it is all combimned..Add the remaining butter to the frying pan and melt over high heat..
Add the souffle mixture, top with the fetta, cook for 2 minutes..
Place the frying pan in the oven and cook for 8-10minutes or until puffed and golden..serves 2...
Breakfast in a pan..
2 rashes of bacon
5 cherry tomatoes
3 mushrooms halved
1 tspn oil
sea salt and crackedpepper
1 tsp flat-leaf parsley leaves.
Preheat a small non stick frying pan over high heat. Add the bacon and cook for 3 minutes.. Add the tomatoes , mushrooms, and oil gently cook for 2 minutes or until golden. Lightly beat the eggs, salt, pepper and pour into the pan around the bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms.
Sprinkle with parsley and cook for 3 minutes or until eggs are set..Serves 1
Sausage and onion frittata
1 tspn oil
2 thick 100% beef sausages
1 red onion, cut into wedges
1 tsp oregano leaves
1 1/2 tspns djorn mustard
sea salt and cracked pepper
baby rocket, to serve..
Preheat a small frying pan over high heat.. Add the oil and sausages and cook for 5 minutes..
Add the onion and cook for a further 5 minutes or until golden and the sausages are cooked through.. Remove the sausages and cool slightly and slice.. Return to the pan with onions and sprinkle with oregano leaves. Lightly beat the eggs, mustard, salt and pepper and pour over the sausage and onion..Reduce heat to low, cover with a lid and cook for 10minutes or until set..Top with rocket to serve.. serves 2

Hot Cinnamon Cereal
3 Tablespoons Flax Meal
3 Tablespoons Vanilla Protein Powder
2/3 cup Water
1 Tablespoon Butter
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Artificial Sweetener (I use Stevia) to taste
1/4 cup Heavy Cream -- well chilled
Mix first 4 ingredients until smooth. Microwave approximately 2 minutes. Top with butter, Sweetener, cinnamon and cream.
Makes 1 serving. 2 carbs per serving if using liquid sweetener. Adjust as necessary if you use a different sweetener (Splenda packets have carbs)

1 1/4 cups almond meal
3/4 cup plus 1 tbsp linseed meal
1/4 cup plus 2 tsp ground sunflower seeds
1/4 cup psyllium husk
combine ingredients and store in a container in the fridge. you make it the same way as fibreX.

Tastes even better than a plain protein shake. The oil makes it smoother and the egg hides the taste of the oil. I tried adding psyllium also but it ends up too thick and pretty much undrinkable.
Now if I can only figure out how to get the bacon in there as well ...

What about making some mini quiches they are nice for brekky. I cook up bacon and mushrooms and either put in greased muffin tin or in a large quiche dish -
then mix up couple of handfulls of grated cheese, 3 or 4 eggs, plus I add some philly which I soften in the micro before adding.
Mix it all together - pour over the mushrooms and bacon - then cook. 180 for about that long!!! I cooked my large quiche for about 40 mins last week - and it was beautiful - my hubby didn't even realise it had no pastry - where as sometimes I think I take it out too soon - so just keep an eye on it.
You can then slice and freeze.

Beat with Egg, splenda, cinnamon and add dab of jam in centre.

*note* When using diet jam please ensure it does not contain aspartame which can be toxic when heated
I have been having the 'mock danish' for breakfast the last few days, and this morning, decided to make it with the empower cereal in it as well. It actually tasted kinda like bread and butter pudding! Needs a bit of fine tuning (and cream) to perfect it, but it was worth the experiment.
Sometimes (usually in summer) I like to put about a cup of organic yogurt, some fruit/lc jam, sweetener to taste, a tablespoon or two of cream, and (if I have any) a scoop of vanilla protein powder into the blender and mix it all together for a smoothie.
I know this is very close to the recipe for Mock Danish above but I used frozen raspberries instead of jam and poked extra in for the last 30 seconds. Although it didn't look so appetising it was fabulous as desert with some low carb icecream.
This is stolen from the Divine Low Carb post (read it all, the song is fantastic!)
Sweetbread Bowl (aka 'Mock Danish')
version 162 out of at least 1.7 million. Ideal midnight munchie.
1 large egg
1-2 oz cream cheese
1/4 teaspoon fiberfit powder (or 2 tsp sweetener equivalent)
some kind of extract or flavor (tonight I used vanilla & blueberry)
some kind of LC jam or berries (tonight I used frozen wild blueberries)
Use a cheap round plastic microwaveable bowl.
Nuke cream cheese till soft (if it isn't already).
Mix up well with egg, with fork.
Add all the other junk but leave some jam/berries out, mix with fork.
(There'll be little chunks of cream cheese. That's fine.)
Nuke it for about 1.5 minutes.
Add jam/remaining berries to middle, nuke another 30 seconds.
Let cool slightly.
Live another day.
Bec's Low Carb Porridge
My low carb "porridge" is:-
1 tablespoon each of psyllium husks, LSA mix and wheat protein isolate, 1 sachet of splenda, mix well together before adding approx 3/4 cup of boiling water and mix quickly so lumps don't form then add a tablespoon or so of cream. Yum!
I mix up equal quantities of the first 3 ingredients and keep in a container in the fridge then just measure out 3 tablespoons each morning and make it up. Very filling. I've also used vanilla flavoured protein powder for the wpi before and that works fine and I could even get away without the cream then.
Any ideas for LC (reasonable calories) non cook breakfast?

I was about to suggest the crustless lemon lime cheesecakes, but then saw that you specified "reasonable calories". I suspect those babies do not fall into that category.
75kg when I first discovered LC. Lost 9kg then got complacent. Back on the wagon.
this morning i put 2 eggs & a dash of water in a bowl & nuked for 2 mins then gave it a good mix then added half a cup of shredded baby spinach & a few cubes of chopped goats cheese & mixed again then nuked for another 2 mins & added S&P...was great.
