hey sherrie...looks good for when i'm back on track. so do you still use splenda for cooking? i have been using stevia lately in tea to sweeten, not tried baking with it yet but thought it might be a better option than splenda (ie. more natural). any thoughts on this? i'm sure you have a thread here where you've already been asked lol
No I changed a few years ago to erythritol and stevia for same reasons.
so strange...the reason i responded to this recipe was it came up on the recipes page when clicked it, like it was really recent!? it was listed down the side of the screen so i just clicked on it. oh well, i guess i need to learn how to navigate this place as it all looks a bit new, sorry! seeing as we are here, would you make this same thing and just use stevia instead (or erythritol)? how do you convert? i bet there must be a thread about sweetner conversions somewhere...when i have more time i will have a proper look:)Current Journey

That because this page is new, if you notice this isn't a forum page but rather a page in the New CMS. I am considering moving all of my recipes here so that they are more organised and easier to find. I am just trying to decide whether I should move the whole recipe and coments (e.g. the thread) over as having 2 copies (one here and one on forum) may get me in trouble with google.
I made this, but only used 1 block of lindt - which worked fine for me. I used 70g each of butter and coconut oil. I also used a mixture of hazelnuts and macadamias because that is what I had. I ran the recipe through the nutritional panel calculator on food standards Australia website. Here are the results based on 25 serves:

That higgledy piggledy, inspired by Belinda Jeffrey, looks delish, Sherrie! I used to do Belinda's hair when I was a teenaged hair dressing apprentice back in the mid-90's. She was a lovely woman, but dare I say, a bit wooden. At the time, she was hosting a cooking segment on Better Homes & Gardens, and my bosses warned me (I was a cheeky teenager) that when she came in, that I was not to laugh, because she'd sit at the mirrors, woodenly practising her tv script. It was very funny to watch. But she was lovely, and her cookboks are amazing. We're all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.
