Hi
This is my first full week on low carb and I've been down to around 25 net carbs a day but I'm eating things like nuts and avocado. I'm religiously tracking my carbs (using Calorie King website - if the people on that forum knew I was here they'd string me up by my thumbs). I bought keto sticks and am finally in ketosis as from yesterday.
But there is no movement on the scales? I have drank wine on two occassions though - ok I know.... naughty!
I've read Atkins cover to cover. What i want to know is do I really have to follow it religiously? Can't I just reduce my carbs but eating cheese and nuts that I like then increase slowly but not in the strict order it says? I'm ensuring I'm getting adequate fat and protein but maybe not in the absolute percentages that is recommended. Oh and I'm not eating so much that it's counter productive either. I'm eating quite healthily actually!
If this isn't going to work unless I follow the eating plan to a 'T' then I'm going to lose motivation because it's too complicated. I'm a full time working mum that's trying to fit this eating around my family committements and budget.
What do you guys think?
