Let's have a thread dedicated to take away ideas when on a low carb diet. We have so many threads on this over the years when really it would be so simple to just have a take away list. So everyone lets add what low carb take away you have, post here and I will edit yours into this post so we can have a continuous running list of ideas. I can think of a few but I will start with one and let everyone else chip in. These are places you go when out shopping or at work and didn't bring lunch, such as in a food court etc
Oporto Fresco Salad (chicken, lettuce, tomato, carrot, olives and 2 dressings, 3.8g carbs)
Oporto Caesar Salad
Nandos chicken and/or Nandos salads or ribs (Chicken from 0.9 - 1.6g carbs, salads 3.8g, ribs 3.0-4.4)
Subway Sub minus the bun costs an extra $1 and they put all the meat and salad fillings you want in a salad container.
Souvlaki (grilled meat on skewers)
Kebabs/Yiros without bread on plate/salad
Grilled Fish with salad such as a greek or garden salad
1/4 BBQ/Charcoal Chicken with salad as above
Hamburger/steak sandwhich without bun/bread - McDonalds will replace chips with salad in their meals if you ask.
Noodlebox stir fry without noodles charge $1 extra
Warm Chicken Salad Lettuce, greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, avocado, cooked chicken slices, balsamic mayo dressing. (Available at Cafe Aqua in S.A. but other Cafes will likely have something similar)
Vietnamese Salads without Noodles Try Soonta salads and ask for the pork belly with crackling, if you're in Adelaide!
Sumo Salad
Mad Mex naked burrito choose your own burrito fillings in a bowl, low carb options. (no stores in SA, NT or Tas)
Grill'd they have a low carb super bun for their burgers, the bun is 8.5g. In most states except NT and TAS.
Salsa's Fresh Mex Grill they have bowls but you can also have any burrito put into a bowl instead. I had grilled chicken and guacamole.
Karibu Cafe, Subiaco Low carb high fat Cafe in Western Australia!
Carl's Jr Low Carb Thickburger any of their burgers can be used. All they do is replace the bun with iceburg lettuce.
