With places like Maccas what most people do is eat the burger without the bread. It's messy but filling all the same.

It's Garry's chemo day today so we had some lunch in the city before his appointment. I had a sumo salad with Grilled Tasmanian Salmon:

I should mention the other day I had a curry in Chinatown (Adelaide)without rice, they actually have a sign in their shop that says curries with no rice so they're obviously plugging them. Garry asked if there was flour in their curries and she said no they're all gluten free but it's possible she didn't understand correctly and is using another type of flour such as corn flour so I won't list it in the first post yet until I can verify. There's certainly no sugar though as it's not sweet at all. They serve them with a coleslaw type veg that seems to be midly pickled/salted.

Anyway perhaps this is a sign that these stalls are now starting to accommodate us by offering rice free options

At the hospital today for Garry's maintenance therapy and had another sumo salad, Tasmanian salad like last time. This time they used some horrible cured salmon so make sure if you try it to ask if they are cooking fresh salmon! The difference is like chalk and cheese!

Has anyone tried the low carb carb super bun at Grill'd yet?

It's not super low at 8.5g I wonder if the count is accurate but it does have a little tapioca and honey so that would bring it up. Otherwise it's just an egg, almond meal, psyllium husk and coconut cream burger bun.

I havnt been to a Grill'd before but I see 2 are in SA then there's heaps in WA, Vic, NSW and QLD. None in NT and Tas.

We went to Salsa's Fresh Mex Grill before Garry's treatment today. You can already buy some in bowls but they either had rice or fruit. I did notice they also stated you can have any burrito in a bowl so I went for the grilled chicken with guacamole which is just chicken, avocado tomato and lettuce.

As far as I know they're only in Adelaide City but a similar type of place just opened up in Mt Barker, Garry has had a Vietnamese roll there and said it was really good.

With soonta I used to buy their salad bowls with the pork belly so I could keep it low carb
